Rehabilitation project - Salesas Monastery (Vitoria, Spain)
In the field of heritage rehabilitation, the intervention carried out in the Salesas Monastery, in Vitoria, stands out as an example of how technical innovation can be integrated with respect in historic buildings.
The work, executed by Dual Integral, included the installation of 880 m² of the 100 mm Aislamaz System together with our Klinker Flat Roof Tile in Black, achieving a highly efficient roof without sacrificing the original aesthetics of the building.
This project combines the rehabilitation of roofs with Slate Tile and Klinker Flat Ceramic Tile, adapting to the different construction needs of the architectural complex.
Why was the Aislamaz System chosen?
- High thermal performance, thanks to its 100 mm thickness and a conductivity of 0.029 W/m-K, which allows a final transmittance of 0.29 W/m²-K to be achieved.
Great versatility and adaptation to the needs of rehabilitation, with a new model of triple crenellated panel (1.5 m²/panel) designed for installation on 40×30 mm wooden battens, also facilitating the shoring of the battens to correct the lack of flatness of the roof, something common in historic buildings.
Compatibility with other insulation systems, such as the rock wool panel used in firewalls, at the request of the project management.
Final finish with Klinker Flat Black Roof Tile
The roof was finished with our Klinker Flat Black Roof Tile, providing:
Chromatic uniformity
Visual integration with the historic environment
Maximum resistance and durability in demanding climates
